The Old Empire is a bedding specialist, specialising in 3 specialised industries. First, we have “ The Old Empire”. Bedding is filled with hypoallergenic clean feather and down. We have an extensive range of feather & down pillows, quilts, feather beds & bedlinen. Our Asthma & Allergy range called Empire Shield is developed specially for asthma and allergy sufferers. Third, we have our micro fibre component called OE Microfibre –Specialist in Bedding Technology.

The filling of feather and down are washed with EMPIRE CLEAN, an antimicrobial treatment developed for THE OLD EMPIRE. Empire Clean thoroughly cleans every gram of feather and down 8 times over to alleviate allergens, dust, bacteria, fungi and any odour. Our processing plant is fitted with the newest German technology. Should feather and down be insufficiently cleaned, machines will automatically go through the washing process again resulting in a hypoallergenic clean product. Our product is certified Oke-Tex Standard 100 tested for any harmful substances. Our heavenly mattress complies with British standard 7177, 1996 and certified medium hazard according to the Fire Safety Regulations 1998, BS 5852.
